This homemade family favorite pancake recipe is perfect and easier to make then you think. This pancake recipe makes thick, fluffy and all around delicious pancake with just a few ingredients. This pancake recipe is probably already in your kitchen and it’s so much better than the boxed stuff.

Old fashioned pancake recipe

A pan cake made like a flat bread with cake ingredients is called a pancake. Pancakes are quite healthy for breakfast. Usually this pancake recipe is eaten with fruit and honey.

Ingredients for this recipe

  • 3 teaspoon of baking powder.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour.
  • 3 tablespoon of butter, melted.
  • 1 tablespoon of white sugar.
  • 1 cup of milk.
  • Pinch of salt.
  • 1 egg.

Step 1

Beat the eggs in a bowl.

Now take the egg and mix it well with milk, sugar, oil and vanilla.

Now you mix the flour and baking powder in the flour.

Step 4

Now heat a small amount of oil (as per your requirement) in a pan. Now put it in the mixing pan with a small sleeve. Cover and fry light for one minute, then turn it over and fry for one minute.

Step 5

Now remove the pan and keep it in a bowl. This measure will be 10 to 11, then you can add fruits and honey.

Can Pancake be frozen?

Can I use gluten free flour or whole wheat flour instead?

All-purpose flour can be used in pancake recipes. If you use a 1 to 1 gluten free flour blend, you will get better result.

Using whole wheat flour instead of flour will make the better thinner, the pancake recipe will also spread out more in the pan. This flour also gives the pan cakes a different color and flavor.
